Over the past year, the Block Watch Society has worked on strategic alliances with Associations to strengthen our message and theirs. Since they are also in the community safety business, these alliances give those participating in Block Watch Crime Prevention Groups the best information possible.
We have always worked with the ICBC Road Safety Team and now we are adding the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team – IMPACT – and Crime Stoppers to our list of strategic alliances.
Both of these organizations offer specific community safety advice that we will now include in our training presentations to our Crime Prevention Groups throughout the Province.
These Associations are represented on our website under “Community Partners” along with those municipalities and police forces we work with.
Strategic alliances establish cooperative relationships that work towards mutual benefits. This involves sharing knowledge, expertise and creates partners working toward a common goal – community safety.
In these cases, we have formed a non-equity strategic alliance which creates a relationship to pool our resources and capabilities together. This will give us the greater ability to be innovative in our approach to education and awareness training.
We continue to work on offering the best product – the Block Watch Program – and by working as a long-term team with complementary talents, we broaden our range of educational information.
By engaging in these alliances our associations gain a larger client base and will build valuable intellectual capital among all the BC residents we reach.
Combining our resources, capabilities and core competencies, we will generate better practices, enhanced brand perception, and a broader reach in the Province of British Columbia. |
